Why my grandmother called these Episcopalian Cookies is beyond me seeing as how she was a strict Presbyterian. Perhaps the recipe came from an Episcopalian friend of hers but no matter - these are wonderful little cookies that literally melt in your mouth. The recipe doesn't make a lot but don't try to double it. For some reason they just don't turn out as well.
